Save Roald Dahl's Writing Hut
Ralph Steadman is supporting a new campaign to save Roald Dahl's writing hut.
Roald Dahl's writing hut is in a state of accelerating decay. In this hut Roald ensconced himself every day for thirty years, working assiduously on the stories that have come to define him and enrich childhood the whole world over.
A simple structure, built in the 1950, in the orchard of Roald's home, it was always likely the hut could not endure indefinitely. Roald's family have done its utmost to safeguard the hut, aware of its far-reaching importance.. In spite of their best efforts, there is now a very real chance that its fragile structure will not survive another winter to shelter its remarkable and important contents.
They are now committed, with friends and admirers of Roald Dahl, to saving the hut by moving it into the award-winning Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre in Great Missenden.
