Ralph Steadman Reprises Role as Juror at 29th Aydin Dogan International Cartoon Competition

Ralph Steadman's first experience of being a jury member for the renowned Aydin Dogan International Cartoon Competition was in the early 1980's. He has been back several times including last year.

In a world where violence and discrimination threaten global stability, the Aydın Doğan International Cartoon Competition was started on the premise that tolerance is more important than ever and that cartoons rely on tolerance and wisdom, and form one of the building blocks of societies open to differences of opinion and beliefs. Today the Aydın Doğan International Cartoon Competition is acknowledged in the world as the Oscar of cartoons. The competition has been organised for 27 years. So far, more than 6500 artists from 128 countries have taken part in the competition. These figures are indicative of the scope and importance of the award.

The jury of the Aydın Doğan International Cartoon Competition, which attracts reputable cartoonists from around the world, are from among the most distinguished master cartoonists of the world.
