Steam Press was a small hand run press created by Ralph and Bernard Stone who ran Turret Books in the 1970's and 1980's.
Between them they worked with poets to distribute small, limited edition runs of pamphlets which contained a poem by one of the many poets who frequented Stone's much loved book shop. Steadman would then produce an illustration to accompany the poem.
This one is from an edition of 50 and features a poem by Virginia Lawson who has signed the red insert. The red insert can be removed from the blue title sleeve.
